BENJAMIN R. RAND is a partner with the firm and has been with Blackburn Conte since 2011. Mr. Rand was born in South Boston, Virginia, and earned his B.A. in English from Virginia Military Institute and his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Rand worked as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in both Southampton and Mecklenburg County, where he tried numerous misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. His emphasis is on civil and criminal litigation, and he regularly appears before the General District Courts, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, and Circuit Courts throughout the greater Richmond area and Southside Virginia. Mr. Rand handles personal injury, divorce, custody/visitation, spousal/child support, misdemeanors and felonies, DUI, reckless driving, as well as other serious criminal and traffic offenses.
